Dual study program for a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on taxes
With us, you can study for a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on tax at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in 7 semesters or in 6 semesters at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in Lingen.
During your apprenticeship, you will combine your studies with practical work in our company. This allows you to apply your knowledge immediately in practice. You will work in various areas of the company and can thus deepen your knowledge of inter/national taxes and the preparation of annual financial statements. You will be involved in more in-depth tax topics. This includes, for example, advising on the structuring of company acquisitions or sales and auditing.
Depending on which course you choose, your study plan will look like this:
Bachelor of Arts: The dual study program generally leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree. This means that the focus of the course is on the business and legal aspects of taxes.
Focus on taxes: The focus of the course is on tax law topics. You will learn how tax systems work, how tax returns are prepared and how companies fulfill their tax obligations.
Opportunities after graduation: Graduates of a dual study program with a focus on tax can work in various areas, including tax consulting, accounting, business consulting, financial management and more. You can also take the tax consultant exam to become a tax consultant.
Overall, a dual Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on tax offers an excellent opportunity to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical experience and to prepare for a career in the field of tax.
Tax clerk
Prerequisite: Do you have at least a good secondary school leaving certificate or are you currently doing so? Or you’re doing your A-levels but don’t want to go to university but want to start your career straight away? m/f/d Doesn’t matter – the main thing is that you’re motivated!
What interests you: Are you interested in tax, numbers and finance and find it exciting how new systems, artificial intelligence and laws can be combined and utilized? The opportunity to work directly with clients, constantly tackle new challenges and operate in a constantly changing legal environment is what makes this profession so attractive and could be the right path for you.
Course of the training:
Your apprenticeship generally lasts 3 years. This can be shortened if you perform well. You will work in all relevant departments, such as accounting, preparing financial statements, tax returns and wages & salaries.

Versatile tasks: Tax clerks have a wide variety of tasks…
This versatility ensures that no two working days are the same.
Responsibility: Tax clerks bear a great deal of responsibility, as they must ensure that their clients fulfill their tax obligations properly and that no tax errors are made. This requires accuracy and diligence in their work.
Customer contact: Tax clerks often have direct contact with clients. They advise clients, clarify tax issues and build long-term relationships with their clients.
Career opportunities: Training as a tax clerk is often the first step towards a successful career in tax and finance. After training, tax clerks can gain further qualifications, for example as a tax specialist, tax consultant or auditor, which opens up additional career opportunities.
Job stability: The demand for qualified tax clerks is generally constant and crisis-proof, as tax consultancy services are required in many sectors of the economy.
Office management assistant
Prerequisite: You have at least a secondary school leaving certificate or higher, m/f/d – the main thing is that you are motivated! You want to get your career off to a flying start straight after leaving school and stand on your own two feet.
What you like to do: Organizing is easy for you and you like to communicate and take care of things.
Course of the training:
Your apprenticeship generally lasts 3 years. A shorter period is possible if you perform well. In the company, your workplace will be at the reception of our locations and you will support our teams in their daily work.

Versatile tasks: Office management assistants have a wide range of tasks.
You can also be involved in various projects. This versatility ensures variety in your day-to-day work.
Interaction with people: In this role, you will have regular contact with a variety of people, including colleagues, supervisors, customers and suppliers. The opportunity to mediate between different contacts and maintain relationships can be exciting.
Digitalization and technology: Modern office work is heavily influenced by digital technologies. Office management assistants often work with software applications to optimize processes and manage data. Learning about and using new technologies can be challenging and exciting.
Organization and efficiency: The ability to organize office procedures and make them efficient is an important aspect of this training. Developing and implementing effective working methods can be satisfying.
Customer orientation: Many office management assistants work in customer-oriented industries. They are responsible for customer communication and help to maintain customer satisfaction.
Further training opportunities: After completing their training, office management assistants have the opportunity to continue their education and expand their qualifications. This can be done through further training, additional qualifications or part-time studies.
Career opportunities: Training as an office management assistant is often the starting point for a successful career in office and administrative management. There are promotion opportunities where you can take on more responsibility, such as office manager or team leader.
Legal and notary assistant
Prerequisite: You have at least a secondary school leaving certificate or higher, m/f/d – the main thing is that you are motivated! You want to get your career off to a flying start straight after leaving school and stand on your own two feet.
What you like to do: Organizing and communicating is easy for you and you are interested in legal and notarial matters.
Course of the training:
Ihre Ausbildung dauert in der Regel 3 Jahre. Bei guten Leistungen ist auch eine kürzere Zeit möglich. Im Unternehmen ist Ihr Arbeitsplatz an der Rezeption unserer Standorte und Sie unterstützen unsere Teams bei ihrer täglichen Arbeit.

Teaching content:
Your tasks: With us, you will cover the entire spectrum: correspondence with authorities and clients, processing contracts, activities in enforcement through to the preparation of draft deeds. You will also support our lawyers and our notary in their daily work.
Your future:
As a ReNo with good training, you will always have good opportunities on the job market. But simply stay with us and we will shape your future together with many offers.
Depending on their individual needs, our trainees receive a €49 ticket for local public transport, a fuel voucher or an allowance towards their driving license.
So you don’t have to worry about that any more.
We attach great importance to good training and offer you a lot of support. For example, you will be given time off for exams and receive extra exam preparation courses so that you go into the exams with a good feeling and, above all, a lot of specialist knowledge. At the company, you can always seek advice from the various departments. This also teaches you to think outside the box.
